Pleasant Peninsula Mural Festival

Front Ave. & Mt. Vernon at the US-131 Underpass • Grand Rapids, MI • 2025

Pleasant Peninsula Mural Festival invited 21 muralists to paint 21 new murals in a prominent underpass in downtown Grand Rapids. Each mural highlights an endangered or threatened species native to Michigan. I was paired with Brad Utrup from Michigan DNR fisheries to create a mural on the Northern Madtom, a tiny, cryptic catfish that lives in the St. Clair River.

More information and photos coming soon! For more on Grand Rapid’s first ecological mural festival, visit PleasantPeninsula.org.
